Aging in Place of Northern Michigan are fully licensed and insured contractors who have completed Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) training. CAPS is a designation created by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in collaboration with the NAHB Research Center, NAHB 50+ Housing Council, and AARP. Certified Aging in Place Specialists have been trained in the unique needs of the older adult population. CAPS graduates pledge to uphold a code of ethics and are required to maintain their designation by continued education and community service.
